Transportation
The most convenient way to reach Monte Generoso is by taking the cogwheel railway from Capolago-Riva San Vitale station. You can reach Capolago by train from Lugano. From Lugano train station, take a regional train towards Chiasso or Mendrisio and get off at Capolago-Riva San Vitale. The cogwheel railway station is located directly across from the main train station.
